Missing emcc script on Windows starting from 4.0.22

I am using emsdk in Git Bash on Windows. It seems like starting from 4.0.22 emcc and other scripts are no longer in the Windows release tarball, therefore running emcc no longer works and I am forced to use emcc.py instead.

For windows users we supply .bat files for launching python.

Do they not work in git bash?

There is a plan to ship .exe files instead which should also solve this I believe? See emscripten-core/emscripten#24858

No, Git Bash don't discover .bat files automatically (unless I run emcc.bat directly). .exe should work.

Can you run emcc.bat then? It seems like if you are trying to run windows programs (which emsdk is, if you install the windows version) then adding the explicit .bat is maybe reasonable?

Hopefully we can land emscripten-core/emscripten#24858 soon and remove the issue.

Yeah running emcc.bat works fine (emcc.py also works), but emcc have always worked for me before 4.0.22, so it will still be good to have emcc. Another minor inconvenience is that I had a Bash script that originally worked cross-platform and now I had to add extra code just to check whether emcc or emcc.bat should be used.

Hopefully emscripten-core/emscripten#24858 will restore the ability to just use emcc.

Can you confirm that git bash will find emcc.exe when you just run emcc? if so then I hope emscripten-core/emscripten#24858 will be the best solution all around.
