When importing a repository, before any peers are connected the repository status is "synced" (green checkmark icon) and the status tapping the three vertical dots in the top right is "Synced: 100%". There is also a message saying that the repository is empty.
Before any data has been exchanged with peers about the repo the status should probably be something like a question mark icon or something to indicate status is "looking for peers" or "unknown". the "Synced: 100%" should say "Synced: 0%" or "Looking for peers" or something and where the file list usually goes it could helpfully say something like "Looking for peers". It might also be good to detect if wifi and/or cellular data are enabled and if not and no peers have been found it could in the file list area suggest "You might have better luck finding peers if you enable <whatever connectivity method isn't currently enabled>".
