I did a reset of the sorting before.

Then I tried to sort automatically, see screencast:

Nothing happens.

Still exists on 3.1.9

3.2.2 too. Also sorting page (a-z) not works.
It opens /manager/#?a=56&id=0 but manager/actions/mutate_menuindex_sort.dynamic.php:44 id is 0. This is a fix but unfortunately it's not included in the build
