Not sure if this is related to issue #2048 or a different issue.

I see a weird update message on a 3.1.7 site (that was updated from 1.4.15 some time ago)...
"For update run console command from core folder: php artisan make:site update"
I am not a programmer and don't know console command - any tips for getting the normal manager update button back in this situation?

Evo-3-1-8-install-via-composer-1

On another site that was a fresh install of v3.1.7, I see the normal manager update button as expected (nice)...

Evo-3-1-8-install-via-composer-2

Any ideas?

If you add some in composer then you need update in console.

If no add custom in composer json then you can update in web interface

Ah I see. Thanks for letting me know.

That's a shame re composer additions - that website with the "issue (for a non technical user like me) :)" has @Pathologic 's code to enable Formlister frontend "webuser" logins added so it might be stuck at 3.1.7 then. It was hard enough getting that code in there and working for logins in the first place.

Don't suppose you could revisit / rethink frontend "webuser" logins in Evo 3? Or make @Pathologic 's code default in composer in Evo 3 installs so non technical people can update via the typical manager update process?
