bug: All test suites broken #308

Your test suites seem to be completely broken.
From undefined variables, wrongly typed arguments, etc.
Happy to fix this one test suite for free (no expectations).
Just let me know if you plan to fix your test suites or throw them away (not that we spend time on code you don't plan to use anyway).
