[Gemini] Tilde gets manually expanded by Gemini 2.5 Pro into /home/user making it not work

Init codemcp ~/Dev/browser-mcp. Look at this project and help me understand how commands to do browser actions are issued to the Chrome extension. Are they having the extension connect to an external server? Or is it a different strategy.
