Describe the problem you'd like to solve
Picture it - you're in Venice/Paris/New York/Barcelona, surrounded by tourists. You're getting hungry, but you want to find somewhere good, away from the bustle, somewhere local. After meandering through unknown roads, along foreign cobblestones, for what seems like hours, perhaps even days, you stumble across the most authentic, inexpensive and delicious bodega/trattoria/cafe. It's the highlight of your trip, your strongest memory of that holiday. You still remember the smell of the bakery on the corner, two roads away from it. And the antiques shop across the road. But it was three years ago now, and the name is on the cusp of your tongue, but you just can't grab it. You can close your eyes and picture its exterior, but how are you supposed to share that memory with your friend who is asking for your recommendation? You spend hours going through old shoe boxes, trying to find the receipt, the business card, the scrap of paper where you scribbled down its name. You don't find it.
Wouldn't travelling just be so much easier if you could store the names and locations of all the wonderful places you've visited in one place, at the click of a button? Somewhere you can write tips and tricks, and share your recommendations easily with your friends?
Who are the stakeholders?
This would benefit people who not only enjoy to travel, but enjoy to share their travelling experiences with friends who also enjoy travelling. It would also benefit businesses that are recommended on the website/app.
What is currently being done to solve this problem?
Instagram is already being used for this to an extent - it allows people to share an image, location and description of a part of their holiday. But it's not holiday specific.

Nice idea! There's some London people trying to do something similar for young people. I think the app was called Trippin if you want to check it out :)
