DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier. A DOI is a string of numbers, letters and symbols used to permanently identify an article or document and link to it on the web. Sometimes in the form of a resolvable URI. Increasingly researchers are being asked to provide DOIs for data and/or media that are used or referenced in publications. If you need one for something that was created as part of Field Museum research please contact helpdesk@fieldmuseum.org. UIC reference: What is a DOI and how do I use them in citations? |
