'Grounding with Google Search' Support in Firebase Vertex AI SDK for iOS

I'm trying to implement Gemini's Grounding capabilities (Google Search integration) in my iOS app using the Firebase Vertex AI SDK. While this feature is documented for the Gemini API docs, I'm encountering issues implementing it using this SDK.

The Gemini API documentation shows how to implement grounding using GoogleSearchRetrieval, but I can't find equivalent functionality in the iOS SDK. I'm a bit stuck as I can't find any documentation for it in Firebase VertexAI.

Questions:

1. Is Gemini's grounding/search capability supported in the Firebase Vertex AI SDK for iOS?
2. If yes, what's the correct way to implement it?
3. If not yet supported, is there a timeline for when this feature will be available?

1. Gemini's grounding/search capability is not yet supported in the Firebase Vertex AI SDKs
2. We are considering an initial implementation that uses a JSON tool parameter before explicit grounding support
3. No timelines yet.
