AC Units go into Standby mode after first action from HomeKit

I read up on a similar issue, but the word Standby wasn't used. I've added this plugin and configured 5 times, and every time it's the same: I add the plugin (tried direct connect and not), add bridge, separate my three AC units into the rooms they belong to, and after the first command from HomeKit, the unit goes into Standby mode. I can do a couple more commands after that, but then it doesn't recognize any command from HomeKit. All three units are connected to the same wifi and have static IPs. What am I missing?!
