Mounting rclone.conf from docker host via volume

Any ideas if this could work?

volumes:
  - /root/.config/rclone:/root/.config/rclone:ro 

Provided the host is using the same rclone version as the backrest container this should work, right?
This way, I could connect backrest to an existing outside repo and since I mounted it read-only there shouldn't be any danger, unless I mess up something else.

One could even mount the host's rclone into the container, right?

I just wanted to add that this works perfectly. Feel free to add it to the wiki or anywhere else you see fit.

Something went wrong. On my first try it worked and after running “Index Snapshots” I could see previous backups of this repo in the “Tree View” as well as various entries in the “Operation List”.

Now, 3 days later, I ran “Index Snapshots” again, but it resulted in an error:

ERROR : Failed to save config after    │
│   10 tries: failed to create temp file for new config: open /root/.config/rclone/rclone.conf1088449755: read-only file system

So I had to mount the rclone.conf without the ":ro" – read-only part and all is well again.
