Change Profile Picture Bug (lets me choose image, asks to confirm, then page completely blank)

After uploading profile picture and clicking Okay to confirm, page went blank. When I reloaded the page, it directed home, but until then it sat blank. When it went home, my profile picture was the old original one.
After some experimenting, the issue only seemed to occur when I had a jpg that I changed to a png. When I click "Choose File" after renaming, the renamed file is grayed out and cannot be selected. But if I rename it within the window after clicking "Choose File", it lets me select the file and then goes blank after I click "Okay" to confirm changing my profile picture. I recorded a video showing what happens.
