Quick list of frequently asked questions by students during install or the course, these are items which should not be listed in the course as very hardware / setup specific but might help as a quick reference debugging during the first lesson.

• updating RStudio on old Macs can be problematic, force remove the app before updating/ new install rm -rf /Applications/RStudio.App
• on older Macs RStudio won't be able to be updated to more recent versions (but should not impact the course much)

Seems like github requires more attention.

• highlight the workflow git add / git commit / git push
• underscore that this is a manual process, and needs careful consideration (not dropbox)
• goal is to increase collaboration and code availability
• BUT github can also be used for portfolio building
