Drawing rectangles with rotated map

Hello everyone,
I am trying to draw a rectangle with a map that has its initial bearing adjusted via:

map.setBearing(angle);

provided by leaflet-rotate plugin.

However the rectangles that I start drawing now are not adjust to this rotation so they ended up being drawn like so:

(i was trying to draw a rectangle around the path)

I am not sure what would be the easiest way to deal with this. I tried to hook on the pm:drawstart event and set the angle in the callback, but I was unsuccessful.

Can anyone point me to a solution please?
