Speedtest Widget Returning Null

I'm running Speedtest 1.20 and the /api/speedtest/latest is no longer returning results.
Download, Upload, and Ping are all null if you go to that endpoint

Mentioned that latest is deprecated and will be removed in later release

You may want to ask them (and you can post the link) but it literally says

Provides backwards compatibility for Homepage and Organizr home lab dashboards.

So sounds like it should still work, for now

It does work, but the API is returning nulls. I’m wondering if the widget needs to be updated to use the v1 API.

I’ll post a question about it over on the Speedtest GitHub.

@shamoon since it's come up, I've deprecated api/speedtest/latest endpoint since I finally released a basic api. The deprecated endpoint will remain in place through v1 but will be removed in v2.

I suggest switching over to use the new "latest" endpoint which is documented here: https://docs.speedtest-tracker.dev/api/v1#get-latest-result.

You can also replace the logic that assumes all results are returned in Mbps and instead use the value in (download|upload)_bits_human, example in the data dictionary: https://docs.speedtest-tracker.dev/api/v1#data-dictionary

It's also important to note, this is now a deviation from the previous Speedtest Tracker this replaced so you might have a couple people who still use the old one that hasn't been updated a 3ish years.

Thanks for the info. Yea it sounds like this will be a breaking change on the homepage side, but so be it.
