Nothing happens after install

I'm using sublime text 3, on a mac. Steps I took:

1. Command + shift + p > "Package control: add repository"
2. In the dialog that appears, pasted the url "https://github.com/gibwar/ConfluenceWikiMarkup"
3. Saw the message "repository added successfully"
4. Command + shift + p > "Package control: install package"
5. Searched for "ConfluenceWikiMarkup", and hit enter.
6. Saw the message, "Package installed successfully"
7. Command + shift + p > "Set syntax: Confluence wiki"

Expected result: That the current document would take on Confluence syntax highlighting.
Observed result: nothing happens

I'm experiencing the same but really only with lists which are not highlighting at all. I get the code completions e.g. 1 & code work but no change on lists. Below is a sample of the list code that I am trying

# 2nd Item
#* More complex list
#* 2nd item on complex list
#*# Even more complex list
#*# 2nd item on list
# 3rd item
