Semi annoyingly, not sure if related, but the base/onto options don't recognize remote branches and plain refs (i.e. origin/staging or a commit hash). Not sure if this is by design.

I just released v0.5.5 which should fix this panic.

Please create an issue about remote refs. I can get a quick fix but to make them show up more correctly, I'll have to re-do a lot of other code (the core assumes a single namespace for branches).
