Analyzed 1,000 issues for gh-aw this morning: only 20 (2%) remain open, yet 709 entries still land in the Bug Reports cluster, so most of our energy is still spent on reactive fixes while feature requests (182) and documentation/testing work (48 combined) trail far behind.
In the last 30 days we opened 678 issues (146 in the past week) and closed them almost as quickly—average cycle time is 0.75 days (median 0.13 days). Activity peaked on 13 Nov (58 opened / 59 closed) but the 7-day moving average has cooled to ~17 per day. Despite the high throughput, 10 open issues remain unlabeled, 13 lack assignees, and 5 have gone 30+ days without updates; those need manual intervention so that automation keeps paying off.

📈 Issue Activity Trends
Opened and closed counts have stayed tightly coupled, which is why the open backlog is tiny. The peak burst on 13 Nov (58 opened / 59 closed) was followed by a gradual taper: the 7-day moving average slipped from ~34/day mid-month to ~17/day this week, so we should expect quieter dashboards unless another surge appears.
🏷️ Issue Clusters by Theme
Bug-centric work dominates (709 issues, 71%), feature requests represent 18%, and every other theme is single digits. Duplicate-code and automation-related bugs make up most of the stream, so capturing root-cause fixes would provide better leverage than continuing one-off cleanups.
