Can't get this to work

I put a file in the editor, it reads it fine. I edit it. The game calls the edited filed "damaged". I'm not sure if this is specific parameters, what I can edit, if I edit something wrong or if this is just saving stuff in a format unreadable by the game.

@Zukla-Moba Where are you along the game in that save file when you tried to edit it?

Nearing end childhood or so? Right are acquiring garr. Where should i be? Where did you test it? Should I use different save formats and convert them with another utility? I can add that it loads everything fine like the "card" and pictures of the group up until I try loading the actual save.

Ok, so I did get this to work post lighthouse.

It didn't work right off for me (as soon as Ryu is in armor)
It didn't work at the point you have Ryu alone, after first meeting with Balio and Sunder
It didn't work after final fight with merged form of Balio and sunder.

All these gave me "damaged" saves. I don't know what is corrupting them. I'm going to test a few more points (after getting Nina is next). I am using your online version of this btw.

Do you have a copy of the save, before it was edited, and the damaged save? What parts of the save did you edit?

I'll try to post all of this next time I play with it. I edited a number of things but mostly spells and skills (which is also where i had my one success). I've done inventory a couple times, stats and level. I really want level to work just to speed up masters grind.
