PCK embedding has various issues and limitations that would make it unviable as a default. For instance, it has a greater tendency to cause false positives in antivirus programs. This is not something we can fix on our side. Steam avoids it by allowing non-codesigned apps to run without warnings, but not everyone distributes Godot projects on Steam. |

Most users would benefit from "Embed PCK" being enabled, as it simplifies distribution. It should be enabled by default to improve the export experience.
