socket models

Features

  • Demonstrate several socket models under windows/linux.
  • These are API samples, DO NOT use them directly in your production code.
  • Socket models include:
    • Select (windows)
    • Async select (windows)
    • Event select (windows)
    • Overlapped I/O (windows)
    • I/O completion port (windows)
    • Select (linux)
    • Poll (linux)
    • EPoll (linux)

Tested platforms

  • gcc 4.4 on Ubuntu
  • VS2005 on Windows XP
