Why not using babel-plugin-transform-runtime?

I was wondering if there is a reason not to use babel-plugin-transform-runtime in the default Babel config in order to reduce the codesize?

Because it requires another package at the end. Feel free to run a babel transform on the code with runtime if you need it.
