Can you try the following form of client creation?

client = Client.get_by_endpoint(ip, ssl=True, metadata=metadata)

Where metadata would be a list of tuples of any metadata you need. SSL should set to whatever value makes the most sense for your local server.

I'm also curious if just connecting to your url with the get_by_endpoint method would square anything up.

This issue is likely unrelated to SSL configuration, as Postman can establish a connection without enabling SSL. Here’s the contextual background: Our system comprises multiple microservices, and to facilitate access to the gRPC reflection of all microservices via a single domain name, the gRPC gateway is designed to route requests by parsing metadata. This metadata specifies the target microservice, and the gateway then forwards the request accordingly. Testing in Postman confirms that this setup works as expected. However, when using grpc-requests, the connection fails.
The root cause is suspected to be the absence of metadata transmission when using get_by_endpoint to connect to the gRPC reflection service. Without this metadata, the gRPC gateway cannot determine which microservice to route the request to, leading to the connection failure.
Below are the error messages generated when using only get_by_endpoint with SSL enabled:

I've checked the code, and it seems that metadata isn't being transmitted during the connection process in this case.

The issue has been resolved. By passing an interceptor through the interceptors parameter, metadata can be carried during initialization.

Thanks for letting me know man, at the very least I can add what you've shared here to the examples. I'll still want to look into an option as to whether interceptors should be required, or if metadata should be able to be passed along upon initial connection if desired.
