Add option for those of us without children #8

Thanks for the comment. I don’t want the number of options to explode for both UX and code reasons. What do you think of making “was” a drop down with “might be”, and linking the annotation text? |
Hmmm. That works for me, but it might be harder for people who are already parents to understand and relate to. Plus it might make the graph messy. I don't know. Sorry. |
No problem. I thought about adding other options but both the graph and input options quickly get crowded. I'll think about this one though. You're also welcome to fork the repo and play around with alternatives. |
Personalizing labels can be made generic under this issue. |
Hi there, just wondering if you've had any more thoughts on this @gschivley. I stumbled across this project, and it's really neat! I've got a bit of experience with HTML & CSS, so I'd be happy to play around with formatting & layout. I'm new to Dash and plot.ly, but would love to learn. |
Hey @jennynz, haven’t touched this in a long time. Do you have any specific ideas/recommendations? A few bigger projects like the nytimes “how hot is your hometown” have come out with cool data. I wanted to add location specific forecasts but didn’t have time to figure out the data. Sent with GitHawk |
Many people don't have children and still care passionately about the future of humanity. I'm not sure the best way to address this. One way would be to add an option for "Year your niece or nephew was born". This would work fine for me. I'm not sure it would work for everyone.
