Since Github discussion are new, we'll trying using them as an alternative to Slack for a while and see how it goes. This may be better for discussions that should be a record of decisions, since the discussions should be retained forever (rather than the three-weeks or so messages are currently retained on Slack for HfLA).

I am John Darragh. I'm a former Bootcamp instructor at sabio.la and retired in January 2019. Now I'm participating the Food Oasis project at Hack for LA (since the summer of 2019), and another project at Hack for LA (https://www.hackforla.org/projects/tdm-calculator).

I am a full-stack developer, but generally more proficient with SQL databases and coding - graphical design is not my strong suit, so I'm always looking for help on that.

My wife and I are empty-nesters in Torrance, CA, and I like to travel, camp, hike, surf (not very well), and exercise regularly. Please post some information about yourself in this discussion as well.
