Curious about the state of this package

Hi Hadley

Is this package complete?  
I thought it was intended to replace the scagnostics package by Lee  and Anushka Anand (which depends on rJava).
Also would be nice to have these scagnostics without any "suggests" to other plotting systems ... e.g., rggobi.

I was hoping it was so that I could switch over and avoid the rJava dependency.
