I made a back-up of my Unify controller running on my Raspberry Pi. I flashed the HA OS to my SD-card and installed the addon for Unify and now I get an error message that my back-up is from a new version of the controller:( Any way to restore my network settings or should I add all my Ubiquity devices again to my controller?

Hi Rene,

Thanks for your comment, probably I didn't made clear enough what my problem is. The back-up of my Unify Controller is for the version 9.0.xxx, however the add on is Unified Controller version 8.6.xxx. So I do see three solutions:

  1. Try to find a way to make the back-ip compatible with version 8.6.xxx
  2. hope somebody will update the add-on to version 9.0.xxx in the near future
  3. re-adopt all Ubiquity devices into the add-on controller

My hope is that somebody will update the add-on (option 2) as that is most likely the easiest solution. However I am not yet able myself to do this as I am a newbee in HA:)

So would be great if somebody has an idea if and when option 2 will happen!

That is great news, I can wait for some time (assuming approval will not take months:)) and work without the controller as the network is available to use.

@frenck frenck closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Jan 11, 2025
