Fix semver4j issues?

HeadlessMc has semver4j and has it as a implementation dependency.
I would think that gradle would resolve the transitive dependencies of plugins?
So it should resolve semver4j as the plugin depends on headlessmc which depends on semver4j?
But this seems not to be the case? Fabric run tasks fail.
