OpenAI API Not Working

So, I just tested this multiple times with keys from openai's platform. It seems that it trims one part of the end of the key and thus throws an incorrect key error.

There is no point to paste any logs, if you try it you will be able to reproduce it.

same issue here - openai api keys are not working on MacOS / Blender 4.4.3

I was also able to reproduce this issue and noticed the same thing when pasting in the API key.

I was able to fix this version with these steps

1. Navigate to %appdata%\Blender Foundation\Blender<your version number>\extensions\user_default\meshgen

2. Open preferences.py and make this change

            subtype="PASSWORD",
            update=reset_backend,
            maxlen=200, #   <- add this line
        ),
# ...

3. Restart blender and it should work.

According to the blender documentation, the default maxlen is supposed to be 0 (which would mean no limit) but that clearly isn't the case here. This seems like a Blender bug.
