image export from command line

It is possible to export an image of , e.g., a network, to svg or png (pdf doesn't work for me, but that is another issue). It is also possible to export a workflow and run it on the command line. But the latter does not allow to produce images. That is a pity. The old version of splitstree was able to do that.
