In the crafting menu in cooking, with a read recipe, instead of human meat, a propane tank is crafted.

Oops. Failed to change the recipe name. This was intended change to remove cannibalism from the mod and allow other mods to take up that mantle.
Proopane Tank is intended, though perhaps as fluid changes for PZ come into Build 42, this will be changed to a portion of propane gas that can be collected.

I also noticed that the recipe were mixed up with the names and the recipes they offered for crafting in random order.

Is it possible to fix this manually? I just play with friends and when welding it causes frustration and temptation to dupe.

Recipes and their results can be modified in the More Traits\media\scripts directory. Though any such change would require all parties involved to mimic said change on their end, else a LUA CheckSum error will prevent multiplayer connections.

While I advise against this, I won't stop you.
