bash-3.2-syslog.patch -- A patch for Bash to log all actions to syslog in real time.
bash.spec -- A spec file for building an RPM with the patch added.
PURPOSE
Will log bash history to syslog in real time. Good for remote bash history logging. It logs to LOCAL5 as is.
Example:
Sep 25 01:40:28 hostname bash: history: [pid:7674 user:root] ls -ltr

INSTALLATION
Install the source RPM for Bash 3.2 and copy this file to the directory /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
and copy the spec file to /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
Build the binary with rpmbuild -ba and install RPM from /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/
To save time, I've provided a source RPM here with the patch already applied

If you're using CentOS or RedHat 5, the following RPM will be easiest
https://github.com/downloads/migrantgeek/bash-syslog/bash-3.2-24.x86_64.rpm
