can't detect internal trackpad events in Macbook M3

I am trying to detect mouse events along with device details on macos. The code detects external mouse events but doesn't detect internal trackpad events. Surprisingly the same code works on

Intel macbook pro with Ventura
M1 macbook pro with Ventura
M1 macbook pro with Sonoma 14.3
It doesn't work on

M3 macbook pro with Sonoma 14.6
M2 Macbook air with Sonoma 14.4
