1. IMPORTANT
Thank you for downloading data from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
By downloading data from the ICES website and sub-domains [ices.dk] you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of use as described in this document and any documents referred to in this text.
Please read this before using the downloaded data, as this file contains specific information about the use of the data provided, limitations, and known issues. This file contains contact information regarding the origins of the data (where supplied) as well as how to cite these data in a publication or a data product.
2. CONTACT INFORMATION

3. DATA SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Continuous Underwater Noise database hosts continuous low frequency sound monitored under the HELCOM programme in the Baltic sea,
which users may query and download.
These data are organised in deployments. If the queried data belongs to different deployments, one file per deployment will be included in the download.
Please note that in a single deployment there might be more data than in the download, in the case the deployment covers a greater time period than requested.
Additional data such as methods and quality assurance may be available. To have access to the complete data set, the user can request this by specifying the provided code plus the extra information required.
Soundscape maps (2014) were produced within the EU project BIAS LIFE11 ENV/SE/841, within the HELCOM BLUES project (2018) (HELCOM Biodiversity, Litter, Underwater noise and Effective regional measures for the Baltic Sea), which was o-funded by the European Union and led by HELCOM (https://blues.helcom.fi/), and also within the Joint Monitoring Programme for Ambient Noise North Sea (JOMOPANS) project (2019). The soundscape maps were created by Quiet Oceans (/https://www.quiet-oceans.com/).
