Modifying GPU whitelist.

Hi, I've tested the existing patch you've made before, and I recently was wondering, since it appears revopoint is whitelisting GPUs in a fairly simplistic way (that seems to often miss slightly different versions, from what I've seen on facebook), or cards of the same architecture as others, is it perhaps possible to modify this whitelist as well?

If I recall correctly the GPU needs to support CUDA 7, and quite a lot of non RTX 3000 and up series cards in theory could work with the whitelist adjusted. I have an old laptop with a Quadro P620, and it does decent enough with the CPU only, but I imagine the GPU could still be leveraged.

Poking around with IDA free (which I have zero clue how to use, especially having been up faaaar too long) I do see what looks like a simple whitelist, though trying to patch seems not to change anything, and I'm not sure if just changing the text in this field would trick whatever checks the program does.

I can't find any results matching the gpu code (GA102) for example, or ampere, so perhaps it is quite simple if you know how to patch an exe. Happy to test on said P620, a gtx 970m, or 1080 potentially.

I was able to get the P620 to show in the list and enable GPU acceleration... however there's no image of even the marker dots being picked up. I just edited RTX 3050 to Quadro P620 and boom, it did show up, so maybe a step in the right direction?

Noticed in some patch notes in their forum (because of course actual patch notes and a changelog would be too difficult) that they added support for the 20 series for actual acceleration (wasn't too sure just based on the 2080 showing there), so perhaps trying to change that which would be older might work. Doubt it, but worth a shot.

Edit: Only works editing the 3050 entry. edit: Also installed latest CUDA with no change though that's not a big surprise.

I don't have an Nvidia card to check, but if you managed to enable GPU acceleration and select your card, that's probably as much as you can do in terms of UI. You'll have to debug the actual logs to see what's going on during scanning. Use x64dbg, attach to the process, open log tab, start scanning and see what happens. If there are any errors, it would show something
