Question about firmware version and change logs

Hi there, I would like to know if there is a repo for all the firmware versions and the change log for each. Specific to the 100 series. Also, I recall from one of the versions that the total usable space was reduced to reserve for other use. Which version is that, and can I downgrade to the older version that doesn't have the reduced space from 01.02.00.5395?

Also, compatibility between ipmctl and the firmware version. I noticed that ipmctl in TrueNAS is using 0.3.00.00.0468-1, showing both DIMMs are unknown and unmanageable.

@DangoNetwork There is no public repo for firmware binaries, as they are provided by the server/system/motherboard vendors. Check the vendor's website for downloads. Vendors typically won't provide detailed release notes.

Regarding the change in usable capacity, I recall similarly. Some of the capacity was reserved for "internal" use, but I think this was before the 01.02.00.5395 production firmware version. IIRC, 5395 was the minimum firmware that the vendors went into production with. The BIOS includes a PMem firmware validation check to ensure compatibility, so even if you could find an older PMem firmware version (doubtful), downgrading would likely render PMem fully inoperable because of the BIOS checks.

The ipmctl utility is backward compatible across all Optane generations (100, 200, & 300), so using ipmctl v3.x with Optane 100 should work without issues.
