504 Gateway Timeout for initial requests for large images

The first time I tried to load the map of Sacramento below in the Allmaps Editor, the server returned 504 (Gateway Timeout). It currently loads well.

• Results in the Allmaps Viewer

The issue might be reproduced by opening manifests of other high resolution maps from the Center for Sacramento History in IIIF viewers.

After confirmation of where the error is we can look into the nginx config to make reverse proxy more resliant. Mike happy to work with Rob on this.
