We should be expanding our example gallery by including at least one notebook to the IOOS CodeLab for each GSoC project. Most of the projects have notebooks in their repos already, eg https://github.com/iobis/pyobis/tree/main/notebooks.

Hi @RATED-R-SUNDRAM IOOS will apply again in 2023 but at this moment we don't even know if we'll be selected to participate. Stay tuned!

Hello, @ocefpaf , @MathewBiddle , My name is Aashish Raheja and I am a senior year Computer engineering undergraduate student. My background lies at the intersection of applying data science for climate change projects and I have been looking for more opportunities to do. I got to know about IOOS through GSOC 2022 and would like to express my interest to contribute to the projects. I am new to open source contributions and I am not sure where to start, so it would be great if you could guide me on how to get started.
Thank you!

@Aashish-100 we would like to wait for Google to approve our org first before we engage with candidates to avoid wasting your time. Please stay tuned! As soon as Google announces the orgs we can start hacking on proposals.
