Couldn't get it working with latest RN version

I got a "React-Native Version Mismatch" error. 

I assume you havent worked on this in a while, but would you mind creating a new RN project and see if you get the same error? And if there is some fix for this?

I'm implementing my own version of this component in the meantime.
