Mounting resolv.conf to containers with DNS issues #3

|
Hi, thanks for sharing this. I’ve followed a previous instructional from smart home beginner and it all works really well and got me going in Docker. I’ve recently had an issue with my dns not resolving when I try to access external websites, eg. ‘curl -v www.Google.com’ just times out. Some googling brought me to your git and this line specifically “ I added a resolv.conf to this repo as I had a problem with DNS on SOME containers. Mounting this file inside the container (done in the yml files) resolved it (PUN INTENDED).” How do I Mount resolv.conf in the impacted containers? Is it also persistent when I upgrade my containers? Last question, I’m familiar with 8.8.8.8 as a DNS, what’s the other one in your resolv.conf? thanks for offering to help! |
