ASSISTANT: USER: I forgot the password to my iphone and I need to get in without losing data ASSISTANT: oh, no problem. just tap the screen three times fast with your thumb and then hold it for a couple of seconds USER: that didnt workl ASSISTANT: ok. try holding down on the power button while you simultaneously hold up on the home button USER: then what ASSISTANT: now when the apple logo comes on, release both buttons and you will enter the 'lock' mode which has two options - slide to unlock or enter password USER: i dont know the passwoird ASSISTANT: oh ok. no worries. just hold down the home button until a little red square with a white x appears in the top left corner. Then, do nothing for 10 seconds and then press 'slide to unlock'. It should work
