2026 working JMusicBot for Discord

Folks that's an unofficial hotfix for the support of Discord , Discord pushed new audio encryption and every possible bot is broken.
I did not push the PR just because i don't have time for maintaining of JMusicBot,
Anyways here is fixed bot use it at your own responsibility, i will not maintain or develop it further!
Sourcecode: MusicBot-0.4.3-fixed.tar.gz
Binary package: just do mvn clean package and hopefully you will get a working one ;)

Sides notes: Discord how they deal with "outside forces" is getting really annoying, but still what other working bots do we have?
Anyways , this is only working JMusicBot in 2026 use it or not , i don't care.

Hotfix release :
Upgraded to JDA 6.3.0
Integrated libdave-jvm (LDJDADaveSessionFactory + NativeDaveFactory)
Enabled proper DAVE session negotiation
Fixed voice disconnect errors
Updated JLyrics to resolve jsoup Whitelist → Safelist API change
Cleaned dependency issues preventing modern builds

Some folks requested binary version => ok here it is, but as always no guarantee or warranty .

Youtube playback not supported, that stays unchanged.

You have
a. upload your music mp3 or wav tracks to a public server
or
b. upload your tracks on server where you run your bot.

Having said this, soundcloud works.

Anyways, i have no plans for supporting the bot, but if you a programmer you can extend it ;) , hint: google did make extra sure that theirs music cant be played by a bot.

I am having the same issue. I just wanted to play local files, on the computer I'm running the bot, but that doesn't seem to work.

Really appreciate the author for updating, and knowing he doesn't want to support it I will have to hope another programming genius will figure it out..

Hello! Thank you so much for this, I've been freaking out trying to find another radio bot. A quick question before I package everything up, which version of Java do I need? Or does it matter?

I currently have Java 25, and am hoping to start learning so I can keep this bot functioning for others too.

I don't know a lot myself, this is all new to me but I know some basic coding. I had about 5 radios in my server shut down by this change by discord and I'm assisting another two servers too who were running on this too, Really hoping I can get it working as Kenku FM just isn't cutting it for me.

idk if you got it to work, but see my reply to my own but report. I got a forked version to work as I need with playing local (on my computer) files.

Hi! Yeah, I never did get this one working... but I also found another fork and now all my radios are working again (If you rename the Jar file you can successfully run multiple radios)

These are the errors I'm getting right now if I just package the files, I found and downloaded the libraries but I still can't get it to work.

It looks like you are missing the dave lib , this issue with your pom file , you need to clean mvn cache and try rebuild package again.

Before releasing hotfix i have tested the build it did worked for me , you need to see build success during mvn build command.
if build fails you need execute mvn clean, so it deletes failed build and try again.

I understand for people with less programming experience it can be challenging.

Ah okay! Thank you. It's my first time packaging an application. I didn't even think there was a cache I needed to clear. Do you know where I could find more information or where to get the Dave Lib from for future projects? I downloaded the one form kyokobot, but my guess is as you explained I didn't clear the cache so that was my issue or maybe I didn't implement the dave lib correctly in my path.

unfortunately it still doesn't work, so that means I either have the wrong dave lib installed or its installed incorrectly

@orlovskyjavaprofi Why not fork the project and just share your fork? I'm not sure why you are providing source code/binary builds this way.

Anyway, I have been maintaining my own version of musicbot which is in working order. I'm actively implementing new features and offer support through my personal discord server and GitHub Issues.

@arif-banai That what i wanted to avoid, i have no time to be a maintainer for a legacy code project , sorry but that sad truth, by the way i did provided the source code as is, so you can review it at your own time.

Do you plan to support youtube playback in your fork?
If you plan to do that, i even consider to donate to your project.
