जैन विकी परियोजना की ओर से आपको यह पत्र सौंपा जा रहा है ताकि आपको इस रोमांचक परियोजना के बारे में बताया जा सके, जो जैन धर्म की समृद्ध धरोहर को संरक्षित और साझा करने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गई है। जैन विकी एक सामुदायिक परियोजना है, जिसका लक्ष्य दुनिया भर के सभी जैन स्थलों - जैसे मंदिर, भवन, स्थानक, भोजनशाला और धर्मशाला - का एक पूर्ण, सुलभ और अद्यतन डेटाबेस तैयार करना है। हम भारत से शुरुआत कर रहे हैं और आपकी मदद से इसे वैश्विक स्तर पर विस्तार देंगे। यह सिर्फ एक डेटाबेस नहीं, बल्कि जैन समुदाय को जोड़ने का एक आंदोलन है, जहां हर कोई आसानी से अपने आस-पास के आध्यात्मिक स्थलों को खोज सके।

मौजूदा वेबसाइटों में कमियां हैं - जैसे जानकारी जोड़ने के लिए एडमिन की मंजूरी की जरूरत और ओपन एपीआई का अभाव। इसलिए हमने विकीबेस (विकिमीडिया फाउंडेशन द्वारा विकसित) का उपयोग किया, जहां कोई भी लॉगिन कर बदलाव कर सकता है, डेटा फ्री एपीआई के माध्यम से उपलब्ध है और स्पार्कल क्वेरी से कोई भी प्रश्न पूछा जा सकता है, जैसे "महाराष्ट्र में 1900 से पहले बने सभी जैन मंदिर दिखाएं"।

डेटा संग्रह के लिए हम भारत को 4 वर्ग किमी के छोटे क्षेत्रों (डिजिपिन के पहले पांच अंकों से) में बांटकर स्वयंसेवकों की मदद से गूगल मैप्स पर खोज रहे हैं। यदि कोई स्थल नहीं मिलता, तो पहले गूगल मैप्स पर जोड़ें और फिर जैन विकी में लिंक करें। इससे गूगल मैप्स पर सभी जैन स्थल दिखेंगे, समय और ईंधन की बचत होगी, और शोधकर्ता, इतिहासकार व डेवलपर्स नई ऐप्स बना सकेंगे। यह धरोहर संरक्षण, एकता और आधुनिक पहुंच को बढ़ावा देगा।

आपसे अनुरोध है कि इस परियोजना में शामिल हों। साथ ही, एक स्टिकर साझा किया जा रहा है - क्या आप इसे मंदिर परिसर में प्रमुख स्थान पर चिपका सकते हैं, ताकि अधिक लोग जैन विकी के बारे में जानें?

We would like to share with you about an important initiative called Jain Wiki. This is a community-driven project with the mission to create a complete and accessible online database of all Jain places around the world. Our aim is to include temples, bhavans, sthanaks, bhojanshalas, and dharamshalas—so that no sacred place is missed or overlooked.

We are beginning from India and gradually expanding worldwide. By doing this, Jain Wiki will make it easy for anyone—whether a family, a student, a traveler, or a professional—to quickly locate and connect with Jain places nearby. This will not only preserve our rich heritage but also make it easier for Jains everywhere to find peace, inspiration, and community.

The database is being built on open and collaborative technology, where anyone can contribute updated information. This ensures accuracy, growth, and long-term sustainability. It will also connect with Google Maps, so thousands of people searching for “Jain temple near me” can discover nearby places with ease.

Through this, we hope to light up the world map with Jain spiritual landmarks, strengthen unity, and create a valuable resource for generations to come.

Along with this letter, we are also sharing a small Jain Wiki sticker. We kindly request if you could place it somewhere prominently in the temple premises. This will help visitors become aware of the project and encourage more people to participate in preserving and sharing our heritage.
