[Feature Request] Add a UI operation panel,UI operation panel limits allowed values, automatically restart the service #285
Comments
Hello @niyuhan - What would be the benefit to adding an UI-Panel to a dedicated server? Can you elaborate on this in much more detail and your thoughts please? |
The following is the translation result.
You can visually change the parameters of the server, restart the server with one click, and no longer need to run commands or edit parameter files on the server. At the same time, language files can be added to adapt the parameters on the UI to the languages of various countries. I am a Chinese. Although I know how to change parameters on the server and roughly know the meaning of each parameter, every modification is troublesome, and occasionally I need to use translation software. And some parameters limit the range of values, so we have to search to find the values allowed by these parameters.
We can create a UI panel:
1. Provide modification operations for the values of each parameter, which can be limited by sliding controls to restrict the range of values.
2. You can see the status of the server and the usage of resources.
3. You can see the game situation, online personnel, and so on.
4. The server can be restarted with one click without the need to modify it before running commands on the server.
5. Login is required to access the UI panel.
6. You can choose a language, adapt to translations from different countries, and provide explanations for each parameter.
Other functions can be followed up in the future:
For example, customizing backup plans, public notifications, prohibiting and allowing players, mod control panels, and so on.
These functions can be implemented through the official Rest API interface, and of course, I can also implement them myself as a developer. But I hope it can be integrated into the container. No need to start a separate container.

The most important thing is that parameters can be changed through the website, ban/unban users, and even later extended to manage mods. |
If your shell script already has some functionality, it can be used as a calling interface or as a reference |
I will look into this. |
