Deleting in PERSIST MODE causes segfaults #21

Reproduction steps:

  • start with a fresh tree
  • add two children
  • pick one of the children
  • enter persist mode
  • delete the neighbor (may cause segfault at this point)
  • press escape (may cause segfault at this point)
  • if you haven't segfaulted yet, press escape again
