Research how to make a scalable and efficient system design

This app needs to be able to scale well to potentially thousands of users, while being done in an efficient (cost/maintenance) way. More research needs to be done. We are currently still going on our MERN stack, but we need to find out how to integrate things like a Python backend and how to deploy it properly to a cloud environment.

Ideas:

• FARM stack, FastAPI, Next.js, stateless architecture
