Type(s) of account issue

I've lost my password

Summary

Hi,
I'm one of the results-cache jenkins plugin developers. This week I've received some email related to some mandatory changes in form of PRs.
It seems that is required from me to relaunch the CI pipeline from the jenkins.io site but unfortunately, I lost my credentials. I don't remember the account name nor the account email.
How can I recover them?
Thanks in advance

Hi @fjgarciao , without knowing your email, it won't be easy as the LDAP has thousands of entries 😅

Do you have a Jenkins JIRA issue where you commented so we could search through your history?

@fjgarciao looks like your JIRA account has not been used since 2021 (franciscoord is the username).
Your email is associated with King.com.

Hello Damien,
Yes, I was working at King.com when I made the plugin with a team mate. I
left the company in September 2021 and I couldn't use that email address
anymore.
Is there a way to link the plugin to another email address?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Javier

Hi @fjgarciao , sorry for the delay of answer as most of the contributors were at the FOSDEM on Brussels. We are restarting the work. I'll check with other to give you a clear process to recover the account (the main challenge is proving identities).

The simplest path @fjgarciao is to create a new account for yourself on https://accounts.jenkins.io , login to https://issues.jenkins.io with that account, login to https://repo.jenkins-ci.org with that account, then submit a repository permissions updater pull request to add that new account to the list of developers of the results-cache plugin.

If the other maintainer (kargath) approves that change, then the new account is added as a maintainer.

If the other maintainer does not approve the change, then a two week waiting period applies. After the two week period, then you can be added.

In the interim, others (like me) can launch the ci.jenkins.io replay builds on your behalf

I was going to check this with you @MarkEWaite : the problem is the history of JIRA issues and comment for the old account. Might be OK since it's from 2021 max, but worth checking

The Jira history for the previous account is quite small (fits on a single screen). The history won't be lost by the creation of a new account, just not attributed to the new account.

Thanks! Then it's settled @fjgarciao : you may create a new account as per Mark's instructions

Hello @fjgarciao , did you have opportunity to create the new account?
