Feedback on Fire

Hi there, this is my feedback on Fire plugin.
I have got to preface this with the fact I didn't spent really much time using it, so I am probably agnostic to some of its hidden gems. And I am not trying to be picky or complain about stuff, this is just from personal experience.
Fire is far from perfect. This plugin is trying to be so many things simultaneously.

• Maybe a good idea to ditch some stuff for now, like the width control and compressor for now, till you get the foundational aspect correctly.

• GUI:

  • I love the color choice
  • Having two logos in each side ?? really!! one (relatable) is enough
  • The menu bar is large, need to be thinner maximizing spectrum view
  • We really need a better smoother spectrum analyzer like most modern DAWs native analyzers.
  • Overlay horizontal lines on top of the spectrum for metering reference (Like Pro-Q)
  • Tilt the spectrum for better higher frequencies representation.
  • Having a meter inside the drive knob may look cool at first, but it's distracting (need to focus while making music)
  • change the location of the distortion type, and place it under the drive now.
  • linked and safe mode buttons need to have a full name inside the buttons, also a better location maybe it is good idea to implement a bar at the bottom, and locate the HQ in there as well (and maybe other global settings -like the FabFilter- ).

• User interactions:

  • The ability to disable any-filter, instead of all filters being active/inactive
  • fine-tune the different distortions to provide consistent range, don't need to allow the user to literally scale the distortion from 0 to 1 (100%) only inside a suitable range, where the distortion is musical and not unusable.

• DSP:

  • Provide a choice for the split (xover) filter's slope (up to 48)
  • -This may be one of the hardest thing to get correctly (and probably will take long time and experiment), and makes you appreciate even a simple distortion plugin-Balance the overall gain, by default the gain drops when you enable plugin in default settings, the oblivious user may think the plugin is cheap and poorly designed.
  • Redesign the EQ to provide a variable slope for not only the low/high pass filter, but for the bell as well.
  • Add transient shaper: always one of the most useful feature (maybe more useful than compressor and limiter) to be able to control the transient and free way (If you are a producer you will understand)
