I'm glad it's been useful and stable for so long. And yes, there are new updates but it's difficult to know whether they'd be useful to you. I think you hit it when you suggested a possible problem with the API that only a new version would correct. It would be better to be ready for that vs having to deal with the data upgrade hassle at an unfortunate time. The README does include some info on how to upgrade your InfluxDB: https://github.com/jertel/vuegraf?tab=readme-ov-file#upgrading-from-influxdb-v1 Obviously you need to make a backup first in case things go sideways. That upgrade doc was written years ago and I haven't tried it since then. We do have other users that are on the latest version of Vuegraf but running against the v1 InfluxDB so that is another option. Personally I just took the plunge and did the whole upgrade since I figured InfluxDB v1 would stop being supported eventually. |

Have had vuegraf and influx 1.8 up and running chugging along silently since Aug 2022. Honestly everything works fine, not sure if there's benefits to updating but figured probably best.
I'm not sure what version vuegraf is on, the container has not been touched since Aug 22.
Is there a way to keep influxdb1.8 up and running, install 2.x and import the historical data? I'm really hoping to not lose the data I have. Is there really a reason to upgrade? I'm assuming if anything happens with the Emporia's API call a forced update would be needed?
Thanks!
