TODO for the COSas (COS&HT admin scripts) repo

  • As the code came from a sanitized origins of an internal project, make sure it still works after the clean-up ;)

  • Review packaging procedures for SVR4 and RPM to automate respins of packages; automate as much as possible by a Makefile.

  • Publish the downloadable PKG and RPM packages at e.g. a special branch of this project.

  • Explore systemd integration for Linux.

  • Whitespace / indentation unification.

  • Port documentations about purposes, options/setup and other nuances of the scripts.

  • Some scripts may be too dependent on locations where they expect a GNU tar to be and/or its filename (gtar or tar) - fix those as issues are encountered on other distros than those we used.
